Cliques..

Hey guys!!
Today's topic is Cliques. This is something that you just have to deal with when going into middle/high school. In every school and even workplace you have to deal with the "popular" people, hey you may even be the popular people. If you're not, I'm sure you've wanted to fit into that group. In today's society we have cliques (Groups of people) that are categorized by the things you like to do, the way you dress and even where you live. Some example of cliques are:

• Nerds/ Mathletes

• Cheerleader/Popular girls (mean girls)

• Jocks/ Athletes

• Band Geeks/ Musicians

• The artists/ Actors

• Skaters/ Stonners

• Emo/ Scene

• Punk/Rockstars

These Cliques are often put in order of Popularity

After this summer some of you will be starting off in high school. I know that I had a hard time with Cliques when I was in high school because I Identified with all of these social groups. Sometimes its hard to be identified with a social group because it labels you. Some cliques will make fun of other cliques. But have no fear God is here. The Bible tells us to trust in God and he will help. Don't be surprised if you find it difficult when you first start back to school, many do. Just remember, trust God and when you feel alone God is still with you! Pray to God and he will be there. 
I tried to get a verse that fits in with this topic and here is what I found!


Psalm 37:5
"Let the Lord lead you and trust him to help"

Lost in the dark? Turn on your light!

Hey Guys!! As I was doing my morning reading. I came Across this scripture...

Matthew 5:14-16

¹⁴ “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. ¹⁵ Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. ¹⁶ In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven."


That is where our topic comes from today. Sometimes in our daily life its hard to be the light when you are so surrounded by darkness. It is also hard to be the light when we get caught up in the darkness, when we cave in. We all have times in our lives when:

• We can't see where we are going
• We worry
• Are afraid
• Can't see our friends
• Feel alone
• Strange things happen 

But do you think God really wants that for us? No!!! Of course he doesn't! God doesn't want us to feel, scared, lonely or lost. God wants us to form a tight-knit bond with him in our daily life, when we have that bond, that strength, it makes it easier for us to resist the temptations of the world. With that bond we can shine. With that bond we can be Gods light wherever we go! 

So ask yourself - Are you wandering about in the darkness or in the light? Which ever it is, God is there for you, all you only need to do is ask!

Hey guys!
Miss May here. I have recently been getting into a deeper relationship with god.
I'm sure you're already thinking borrring, but in that time with god I had a notion to start blogging and helping out my Campus Life (CL) kids through this blog.

In this blog I have 3 major goals..
1. Get a deeper understanding of  the youth in CL
2. Discover God and get a deeper understanding of him through this blog with the help of the CL community
3. Have a fun and insightful place for CL kids, Student leadership and  the adult CL staff to put thoughts, opinions and even just how their day is going.
